Google Nexus 4 with Jellybean to Lead Nexus 5, 6, 7 and 8

Google Nexus 4 opens way for Nexus 5 to 8

In the previous post on Samsung Google Nexus 4 specs leak (http://www.androidust.com/google-samsung-nexus-4-specs-and-features-leak/), we came across the news that Nexus 4 will adopt Android Jellybean 5.0 OS. Mostly the phone will be released somewhere in October. But the good news is, Google Nexus 4 is not the only phone to be released this year with Android Jellybean 5.0.

Yes, as per The Wall Street Journal reports that are available Samsung Google Nexus 4 will be accompanied by four more Android Smart phones with Jellybean and these include Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7 and Nexus 8.

But Google has changed the strategy a bit this time. Rather than making a contract with only one company (example Samsung), Google has plans to have association with multiple mobile makers. Even though no official confirmation has come from Google in this regards, we have an eye on the biggies like Motorola, HTC, LG, ASUS also along with Samsung. These big mobile makers will get a chance to come up with Android 5.0 Jellybean phone. Mostly, the portfolio of devices as mentioned may get ready by Thanksgiving. This is what the news suggests.

We have also got some rumor or information that this time Google has plans to directly sell the said phones to the consumers in USA, Asia and Europe through Google Play Store. It is also anticipated that Nexus 5, 6, 7 and 8 might be sold unlocked. It means that the phones won’t carry a contract with the carrier. The phone will be sold unlocked and SIM card can be inserted within that.

But the problem with this is such handsets are mostly expensive as compared to those sold with the contract. Also, such concepts are not popular in USA. Thus, it is quite challenging thing, if Google plans to sell the Nexus portfolio without the contract. However, such a deal would also serve a few benefits and these include enjoying apps like Google Wallet or likes which are sometimes blocked by carriers like Verizon.

Even though Google did not comment anything over this, it is a known fact that the updates that come up over and again are slowly pushed by most of the carriers. In such a case when Google bypasses the wireless carriers, it actually puts a step ahead in faster provision of updates. The only thing is Google will have to partner with the mobile makers and think of coordinated marketing solutions. This is definitely going to be an amazing experience for users as well as app developers.

With this revolutionary step Google will send a signal to the wireless carriers that it does not like them gaining a control on its devices. Also, this step is a direct challenge to the rivals like Apple INC.

So, Android Jellybean 5.0 seems to rule the latter part of this year. We have seen Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich and now it will be Android Jellybean. Truly, Android is a revolutionary operating system that comes up with much better features and trends every time it launches the new version.
