Glove mode is an extension to that. You can use your Xperia Sola in winters conveniently with gloves on. With ICS update on Xperia Sola, Glove Mode will be enabled by default. When you unlock your Xperia Sola (with ICS) with the gloves on, the phone will automatically go into Glove Mode. When this mode is on, the floating touch mode is disabled. With Glove mode you can use Glove Touch as well as Normal Touch. To turn off glove mode, you simply lock the screen and then unlock it with your bare finger touching the screen,” says Andreas Sandblad, software architect at Sony and the inventor of glove mode.
