Verizon Galaxy Nexus on JellyBean WI-Fi Issue Solved
Verizon Galaxy Nexus users were quite happy when they realized that Jelly Bean is just around the corner and can now be flashed. In fact many people installed Jelly Bean 4.1 on Galaxy Nexus as well as Galaxy Nexus variant like Verizon Galaxy Nexus. Of course, this new Android platform aka Jelly Bean 4.1 has some amazing features. These features include offline voice to text transcription, new notification bar, intelligent Google Now, new home screen and a perfect touch response with a buttery performance.
Keeping other features aside what makes Android Jelly Bean 4.1 on Verizon Galaxy Nexus a rocking platform is the presence of Google Now. Google Now is a perfect and the most intelligent search tool that makes the online tasks much simpler. The data that you search in the past based on the history are complied intelligently and keeping all this the users get updated searches and info. There are many other benefits of Google Now. Thus, we can conclude that even though many people do consider Ice Cream Sandwich as the best option, Jelly Bean 4.1 surely is meant to enhance the performance of the Android.
But the only issue that is there is, official Jelly Bean 4.1 on Galaxy Nexus will still be there around mid-July. Till that time testers will have to stay satisfied with the Jelly Bean ROM. In fact, many users also installed the Jelly Bean update on Galaxy Nexus. But after this was done, users faced some Wi-Fi issues. Users thought that the Wi-Fi was quite weak after the Jelly Bean 4.1 update and thus some of them also went back to the original platform. We thought to search for a solution for the Wi-Fi fix on Jelly Bean Verizon Nexus.
We came across the post on XDA from the senior member mwalt2. He could successfully find the solution for Wi-Fi issue on Verizon Galaxy Nexus running on Jelly Bean. He made the solution very simple. He just searched for Wi-Fi in IMM76K Verizon ROM and found the file bcmdhd.cal. He pushed it to the phone and did not go for any wipe. In the official XDA thread he has also included the flashable .zip. For more info on this you can check the official thread for Wi-Fi Fix for Verizon Galaxy Nexus on Jelly Bean ROM.
