Disclaimer: Even though we appreciate the work of developer and personally like this ROM, we advice you to use this ROM only when you are quite confident of what you are doing. Installing Aura ROM on your Samsung Galaxy Y can be a bit of risky procedure and thus you should do this at your own risk. The probable risks may include loss of data, bricking of the phone etc.
Important note: While updating the handset you may lose some important data, contacts or applications. Therefore before you update your phone with ICS Aura, you should take complete back up of your phone.
We also recommend that before you begin with the procedure you must charge your phone to the extent of 70 percent. This is because the procedure may take long and the battery usage may be prominent and it should not run out of battery in the middle of the procedure. Also, you must disable Firewall, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware, etc before you start with the procedure. You will also need to install USB drivers on your computer. Without USB drivers, phone will not be recognized properly.
Also, you need to enable USB Debugging and this can be done in this manner: Go to Settings->Applications->Development-> Tick Enable USB Debugging. Install Clockworkmod Recovery as it will be needed in the procedure ahead.
