Last year Motorola came up with the first Android powered CDMA EVDO/GSM dual standby mode – dual SIM touch screen Smartphone. Since it was the first of its kind at that time, it had a hefty price tag of Rs. 31999 in Indian. But now, the prices have come down to a considerable extent.

Surprisingly this device has HDMI port apart from USB port and the volume rocker on either side. It has a metallic finish and which makes it look a bit stylish.
Display and Camera

Even when there is low light, the dual LED flash enables a perfect image or picture. Overall the image quality was good with good focus and sharpness. It does have a front camera for video calls as well.

The interface on the Smartphone is peculiar Android 2.1 as this device lacks MotoBlur integration. Android 2.1 can be termed as updated with most phones now having Android 2.3 or above. Apart from being dual SIM, the phone has some default apps like the Business Card Reader. It carries all the normal Google apps to sync your contacts, check the mail or take up Google chat.
Even though this device has many pros you will find a few tweaks while you make calls, send messages and access the settings. The dial pad is quite different, with that the user gets the facility to choose between CDMA/GSM for while making the call. And similar thing can be done while sending the sms. However, the problem with Motorola XT 800 is, even though it is promoted as Enterprise device, it still is not up to the mark at that level.
The device is powered by a 550MHz Cortex A8 processor and has a PowerVR SGX530 GPU. It feels very low profile as compared to the hefty price tag that it bears. It’s some what sluggish and slow in web browsing experience. Even the voice quality and output seems to be a bit poor. But when connected with the headset, the quality improves to an amazing extent.
