Pre-requisites for Installing D4 ROM

We except that you have Windows PC and rooted Galaxy S2 with CWM.

It is vital that you take back up of the data in the form of images, audios, call logs, APN and settings. This is because while updating to the new ROM, you may lose this data from the phone.

We recommend that the Galaxy S2 battery should be charged to the extent of some 60-70 percent so that there is absolutely no hurdle in the middle of the process.

You must enable USB debugging this way: Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging

Procedure to Install D4 ROM:

Take the USB data cable and connect the PC and Phone with this cable. Also, place the downloaded zip file to the root of the SD card.

Turn off the phone now and get into CWM recovery mode. You can do this by pressing Volume button and Power button together. When you do this, you will be able to see a recovery screen on the phone.

In the recovery mode select ‘Wipe data/factory reset’ and ‘Wipe Cache partition’. Also, select ‘Dalvick cache’ under Advance option.

After you are done with all the above things you must get back to the recovery screen and select ‘install zip from SD card’ and then select ‘choose zip from sdcard’. After that, find the placed zip file on the list. Once you locate it you should select it to flash the update and install new D4 ROM on Galaxy S2 GT i9100.

Have some patience because this procedure takes around 8-10 minutes.

Now, you must return to the main menu and for that you can select ‘+++Go Back+++’ option and then choose ‘reboot system now’ to restart the device and apply new D4 ROM in it.
